Little Heath School - Challenge Partners

We are committed to continually reviewing and evaluating our provision to ensure we provide the highest quality of education for our scholars.

To validate our self-evaluation procedures, we welcome Challenge Partners reviewers in school annually to complete a three-day rigorous peer evaluation. Led by an expert lead reviewer, reviews are conducted by a team of headteachers and senior leaders from schools within the Challenge Partners network.

The review has a whole-school remit and focuses on teaching and learning, which enables the school and practitioners to have deep conversations about the quality of learning. All outcomes are agreed between the school and the review team as part of an ongoing professional dialogue that seeks to unpick and articulate effective teaching practice and school improvement strategies. Review reports are best viewed as a summary of conversations between peers during the three days spent at the school.

This process allows us to reflect on our own current practice, identify and celebrate strengths and address areas for improvement.

We have been pleased to have been ‘Leading’ practice nationally in all areas, in each of our three reviews.
